The Election Committee is formed by Rector in accordance with the statute of Aalborg University and serves to call, conduct and determine the outcome of elections to the governing bodies of the university.

The Election Committee consists of 6 members:

• 4 representatives for the scientific and academic staff (VIP-employees)
• 1 representative for the technical and administrative staff (TAP-employees)
• 1 representative for the students

At the moment The Election Committee consists of the following members

Representatives for VIP-employees:

• The Faculty of Engineering and Science (ENG) - Evamaria Petersen, Department of Materials and Production
• The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) - Sten Bønsing, Department of Law (chairman)
• The Faculty of Medicine (SUND) - Carsten Dahl Mørch, Department of Health Science and Technology
• The Technical Faculty of IT and Design (TECH) - Bettina Dahl Søndergaard, Department of Sustainability and Planning

Representative for TAP-employees:

• Berit Klitgaard Jakobsen, AAU Business School

Representative for the students:

• Simon Abildgaard Hansen, Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology
